Meetings as placebo…
I’m terrible at running a meeting.
I’m too ADD to keep myself on-topic, let alone a handful of adult children, each with their own agenda. Of course, I also hate agendas — a list of bullet-points religiously followed does dickall to bring legitimate issues or ideas to the forefront.
There has to be a balance — a better way — right?
Or maybe we should just scrap this whole quaint notion of the meeting entirely (at least for projects). Their utility is a management myth. 37signals has it right: meetings are toxic.
